Go to your hairdresser to have the initial dye done, so she can trim your dead ends. That way, the color won't be as damaging.

Jazzing is a good brand, I would say Dark %26amp; Lovely but try their semi-perm... not permanent color. A brand that does not have ammonia or peroxide, or low ammonia and no peroxide which means a rinse, cellophane, or semi-permanent color because it is healthiest on African American hair. Be careful if your hair is permed or relaxed because double process can be damaging as well... so stick to rinses and cellophanes.
