Right Hair Color???

Hi Everyone-

Looking for any opinions...I have very fair/pale skin with big brown eyes and freckles. Growing up I had blonde/dirty blonde hair. I have always highlighted it varying shides of blonde but kind of want to shake things up. Has anyone with similar coloring ever gone brunette??? Or how do you think this would look on someone with my coloring? Would it be best to stick with the blonde? It just is getting kind of tired and i want a change! any opinions appreciated thanks!

Almost anyone can go brunette, but getting the right color depends on the undertones in your skin. I'm betting, since you have fair skin and freckles, that you likely have rosy undertones, and that you fall into the cool tone category. It gives brunette shades a great multi-dimensional effect, rather than the monochrome results that often come from home color-kits. Since you're familiar with the highlighting process, I'm betting that you're no stranger to the salon. So, ask your stylist about brunette options. She'll help you pick the right shade for your skin tone, and she'll go over the various techniques available.

i'm pretty fair-skinned, and i just dyed my bleach blonde hair dark brownish/red! i love it...just make sure you go to a stylist so they can prime your hair first...otherwise it might turn green. best of luck to you! i'm sure it would look awesome!

Try a light auburn. I think it will compliment your freckles and brown eyes and add a new spark. A golden brown might be good too. I went auburn, but my eyes are blue and I have a rosy complexion. Good luck.

A friend of mine has similar coloring- You should get the peek-a-boo effect!

The stylist will dye your hair, and leave a few streaks of white blond- It looks really cool! Good luck!!

I would recommend trying it out with a semi-permanent color first somewhere between medium to dark brown to match your eyes. If you don't want to pay a stylist to 'prime' it you can dye it a medium ash brown first, then dye it the darker auburn brown that would probably look great with your skin tone and eyes.
