Most gentle hair color?

I have lightened my hair for years to a light golden blonde (the color it was when I was a kid). My hair is VERY fine and for a couple weeks after coloring, it seems a little fuller and shinier, but that wears off...Now I have a bit of white hair that doesn't want to take the color, or the color wears off on the white way before it's time to touch up...What can I use on my fine graying hair that will last and won't damage ?

Certain type of color, such as Matrix SoColor, have a special line for graying hair. I would recommend asking your style to use a color for grey hair. It's made differently because grey hair is normally so coarse, and difficult to penetrate with color. Plus, the color you are covering up isn't even on your basic color wheel- red, blue, yellow, orange, green and violet.

Have you tried explaining this to your stylist, and asking her what she would recommend? You may need some sort of color care shampoo and conditioning line- your hair just might not hold color well.

go with darker hair, it normally looks pretty good on most people, try it, it never hurts.

I'm a hairdresser.DON'T USE LOR'EL(sp?)!!! It will fry your hair and rarely comes out the correct color even when a professional does it.If a have someone that wants me to use that hair product on them I refuse.If they still deside they want it they go somewhere else and 9x's out of 10 they come back

and want me to fix it.
