Ok, I have been coloring my hair at home for a long time. I always get great results and I get compliments that it looks natural and very healthy. That being said I have been "ultra light natural blonde" for half my life and I wanted to try something new. SO, I went to a salon and even brought in photos and a FULL description of what I wanted. I wanted some warm low lights put in and a couple more drastic lowlights in the front. Well, I left the salon with very light blonde mixed with a "dark color" not the warm honey color I wanted and it looked grey. SO, I went back THIS IS WHERE IT GOES BAD TO WORSE! She then pulls out all the color bringing me to a very golden blonde, and says she can fix it by adding layers of highlights and low lights.I ended up with almost black CHUNKS of streaks mixed with now WHITE. I looked like a skunk. Now I am in tears! She then proceeds to do a bleach shampoo on the dark areas. My hair is white/yellow/orange. Can I fix this with a toner. PLEASE HELP!thanks

toner can take some of the orange out... but you'll probably have to wait a week and maybe get all the color stripped out if it still looks bad and you can't live with it.

First of all go ask for your money back . Spend that money on the dye u usually use and soak the streaks in that then do the same thing to the rest of the hair do it over and over untill it's back to normal WARNING: I have never done this before this is just my educated guess

First off - get your money back from the first salon! If you aren't happy with the results, you shouldn't have to pay for it. I would then go to a salon that has a good reputation for hair color - ask around to see where people you know go. Hair colors and shades work different with everyone so you need someone who is going to do it right. Since you are having all this stuff done to your hair, I'd also suggest getting a deep conditioning treatment so you don't dry out your hair too much - Pantene has a good one. I hope this helps and everything works out for you!

look sweetie, please go to a professional color corrective specialist- asap! the hairstylist should've never done this process on ur hair- and let me tell u- i know u might feel really upset and hate ur hair right now but i suggest u leave it alone for about 3 weeks- u're going to really damage ur hair and it will either start to fall out and or start to break off due to all the chemicals.
what u need to do is get color ur hair all one whole color and start over from scratch- that is the best way. trust me, i'm a hairstylist and i know how u must feel- but please take my advice. good luck.

since your hair looked so natural...did the hairdresser assume that your hair was not processed? You probably need to contact the owner of that salon, and have her correct the problem.. It seems to me that you are a better hairdresser (on your own hair)...than the salon.

when we are applying low lights to hair that has been bleached out , the hair will normally color into a drab or cool base color ( muddy versus warm ) It can be difficult even for the best hair designer to actually get the golden/honey color that you wanted . However , some color lines are better for this situation . Also , when we add low lights the color should be either a demi or semi permanent hair color . You don't need to use permanent color . The demi and semi color colors previously bleached hair into a golden/honey better than permanent . It also seems as the hair designer may have chosen to dark a color for the low lights . Unfortunately your in a bad position at this point . I feel your best bet would be to seek out a DIFFERENT stylist that specializes in corrective hair color and cross your fingers .
