When you have your hair color stripped does it leave your hair white?

My daughter dyed her hair with permanent hair coloring and wants to get the hair color stripped because she doesn't like it. Her natural hair color is light blonde -- the dyed color turned her hair a red/blonde/lt. brown color. She was told by a friend if it is striped it will turn white/non-color -- is this true?

There is a product from Schwartzcopf that will only remove the artificial color. It's the only one I know of and the sooner after coloring your hair the better.

Most other color strippers uses a harsh bleach like product to remove the color. Those types will lift the unwanted color and the natural hair color and many times the hair needs to be colored afterward. Being that she was naturally a lt blonde the stylist may be able to lift out the color without lifting her natural color.

It's a complicated process and usually can be pricey. I'd try to find a salon who can do the Schwartcopf one (I know it is spelled wrong, but I tried to spell it like it sounds). I'd go to a pro for this service either way. This is too complicated to do at home.

It should only take out the hair dye and leave the original color. But I've heard it really damages your hair.
