How do i remove red dye from my hair without re coloring it?

Hair color removers or bleach. These are extremely harsh on the hair and should be done by someone with experience only.

After hair is bleached, it will probably need to be toned.

Red hair color is extremely hard to remove, especially if it's a mahogany color. Mahogany colors have two bases usually. (primary color and a secondary color, like RV. (red violet)

Hope this helps.

wash it w/ something kinda harsh to pull out the red tones

it probly won't completely come out, and will leave a little red tint. you could use a semi-permanent dye or one of those shampoos that deposits a little color thats close to your natural color.

good luck

You should wash it a lot or use tone stuff.

I do hair, so you would just have to wait until it dies out, just keep washing it, the color won't stay in that long, after that, then you can recolor it.

There is no way but to get your hair color stripped. I recommend that you only get it done at a salon. Do not do it yourself or have a friend do it, unless they are a licensed hair stylist. The only reason I say this is because you have to lighten and darken and that requires a professional's hand.

Also, unless you don't mind a reddish tint, you can try to dye your hair a dark brown and it does look pretty nice though. But do not dye it black because then you'll have a blue-ish tint mixed in there as well.
