Will Blond Hair Color Change This Mistake?

i have natural white blond hair and i dyed it black a while ago. i then yesterday decided to bleach parts of it on the top area. and to my surprise it turned bright orange. ugh. i have a big event tomorrow with lots of people. so i am thinking about just coloring it all with some preferably blond color to help it get back to its natural state quicker. but my question is will i need to get light blond to cover the orange because i'm not sure if the blond will hide the orange. please any tips.

Will Blond Hair Color Change This Mistake?

Hey..in my opinion, you'd be better off doing a quick dye job in a dark colour to cover the orange, as i dont think the blonde will quite work! It will probably make it worse, then after the big event get to the hair dressers %26amp; get all the dye chemically removed..then you can have a fresh start!

Will Blond Hair Color Change This Mistake?

hmmm u have screw it up big time... my advice... juss use some temporary black color(hair mascara, etc)... and get over with the event.... and let me remind u ... every time u color and bleach and colour and bleach .... u r screwing ur hair bigtime.. and forget about doing t in such shot intervals.... so once the event is over go to good hair stylists... one who specializes in hair colouring and work out ur options with them....trust me, they aint new o screw ups and will give u ur best options.... and could also tell u .. what products will give u ur desired results... i think u were looking for blond high lights instead of orange ones.....

Will Blond Hair Color Change This Mistake?

Light blonde home haircolor will not cover the orange.

Since you need a quick fix, you could use a temporary dark brown color.

Will Blond Hair Color Change This Mistake?

Just completely bleach out the orange parts then put blonde dye on it..then it will be fine.

Will Blond Hair Color Change This Mistake?

the classic mistake of dying hair black and wanting it to b blonde again...

problem is the black needs to b stripped...this is called colour correction - the hair is bleached several times, and ash toner applied to neutrilise the orangeness and more bleach put on @ a later stage.

the colour willl be more of a dark blonde colour and may still b a lil ginger after the inital colour correction - use a shampoo like Matrix So Silver which puts ash tones bk into the hair to help neutrilise the gingerness - it enchances blonde and grey hair.

(i had colour correction done a yr ago - dark red hair stripped and bleached and it went gingerish after so i used tht shampoo and was bit of a life saver)

Unfortunately it cant b done @ home with the home kits from the shop as the peroxide levels in the kits are no where near strong enough to lift the black outta the hair.

ne more questions, email me!

Will Blond Hair Color Change This Mistake?

USE Alfoil, or aluminum foil whatever you call it. just cover it over your head and its will help heaps with the process. i coloured my hair black but got sick of it so i ended up colouring it blond twice and then brown to make it look nice so maybe you should try to eventually get it to your blond hair

Semi-permanent hair-color?

i've been coloring my hair a darker brown because the sun lightens it so much and i was wondering if there's a way to make it stay longer? i have to shower daily because my hair gets oily if i dont, and i'm not a fan of permanent because i hate roots and am too impatient to wait for it to grow out if i change my mind about it. any suggestioins? thanks :-)

Semi-permanent hair-color?

i personally used John Frieda's Color Glaze. its not too expensive...i bought it at the walgreens in my neighborhood for under $10.00. It is used in the shower after you shampoo. It works for me, dont know if it will work for you or not, but i havent had any problems with it.

my hair is dark brown. i dyed it blonde, and then dark brown again. my dark brown kept fading bc of the blonde underneathe. The color glaze darkened my hair back to dark brown (after the semi permanent hair color had just started to fade) and it keeps it from fading on me.

good luck.

check out the site. it helped me find the right color glaze for me.

Semi-permanent hair-color?

Perhaps using a shampoo that is especially for colored hair will help keep your color longer. Only soap-up once.

but I think using a permanent would be better in your case since you wash your hair so much and also color every other week. Find one that is closer to your own hair color. A little lighter or a little darker. Roots wont show as badly.

Semi-permanent hair-color?

there is this kind that my mom gets to cover up gray hair (lol). it washes out slowly for like i think a month. go to the hairdresser and see what they think

Semi-permanent hair-color?

use color n a spray can it cums @ many stores %26amp; u can wash it out %26amp; put it back n da nxt day

Semi-permanent hair-color?

Just go permanment or change your hair to a lighter color

Semi-permanent hair-color?

you have two methods of approach.

getting a shampoo and conditioner that says color safe, it will wash your hair but not strip out the color.

and or you could get a shampoo/conditioner that has a color tint to it to keep your color vibrant between coloring with semi-permanent.

this will last until the next shampoo.

you could also use a combination approach and use both methods, together to keep you hair color fresh and vibrant.

Blessings!

Semi-permanent hair-color?

I like changes when I dye. I usually do it myself, but it was the same old, dye blond, dye blond, etc. My hair is dark, or dirty blonde. I dyed red once, my son hated it, my husband loved it. We had the best se x when I was a redhead. I've done just the blond thing from then on, though.

I recently went darker, and that has worked so well for me. My natural blonde highlights my dark hair now. I went to a salonist for the darker, it turned out great. I will go back, and I don't have to worry about roots since my hair is naturally dirty blonde, the streaks of my own color are great. I am so happy going darker, but I can't really see your hair to compare to :-(

I suggest trying and using different techniques, one of them is right for you but you won't know unless you try it?....

Semi-permanent hair-color?

well if the main reason it fades is because you shower daily, you no you dont have to get it wet...wear a shower cap, so you can wash your body but you aint fading you colour, And then use dry shampoo..It comes in a can and you spray it in and it takes away oilyness, or something you will have in the home..Talcom powder. So its a win win situation...You can shower, keep your colour and not have oily hair

So you dont have to wash it everyday like it seems your doing

I would like to get my hair colored blonde. how do i do it?

hey. I want blonde hair. currently have boxed dyed red hair.naturally my hair is brown. what is hair foiling? interms with coloring? what would be the best route 2 color it pro like regular, or foiling or what?

I would like to get my hair colored blonde. how do i do it?

ok.....first of all, when you put an at home color on your hair, it contains metallic dyes. These dyes are very hard to cover up even by professional colorists. My suggestion is to see your stylist for ideas. She may advise you to let the red grow out if it is permanant color. If it is semi-permanant, I would wait a few weeks until it came out. The foil method is best, as it blends the highlights better and works great for thick hair. My hair is natural brown, and I was never able to achieve blonde without professional help. Unless you wanna turn out having reddish orange hair, I would let the stylist handle it, because it is hard to lift (or lighten) your hair color if its darker than the shade you want. Good luck!!

I would like to get my hair colored blonde. how do i do it?

go to a flipen hairdresser

I would like to get my hair colored blonde. how do i do it?

You should go see a beautician about the process needed to get to blonde. I am also naturally light brown but dye my hair red. Last year, I wanted to go back to natural and I had to buy a color stripping kit, strip out the color of my hair, and then the beautician dyed it back to natural for me. It only cost me about $50 going that route, but if you have them strip it and dye it for you, it will be over $100. So...give your beautician a call and see what needs done. Good luck!

I would like to get my hair colored blonde. how do i do it?

you neeeed to go to a salon, especially if your hair is dyed red right now. theres not going to be a developer with enough lift that youll want to use to cover the red with blonde. its not likely. in the salon they can do foils, where they pain the color on and fold it up into sheets of foil to let the color develop. trust me, you cant do foils on your own. go to a salon!

I would like to get my hair colored blonde. how do i do it?

I have no idea what hair foiling is, but I think they sell hair coloring kits at Wal-Mart and at other stores. I think this is a fairly obvious answer.

I would like to get my hair colored blonde. how do i do it?

go to a barbor

I would like to get my hair colored blonde. how do i do it?

Go to a licensed beautician for the best job.

I would like to get my hair colored blonde. how do i do it?

Personally, I think you should just go to a place like Bubbles, or some other professional hair salon and have them take care of it. My hair always comes out really good, if I go to a salon.. and think about it.. when people look at you, that's one of the first things they see is your hair. Don't you want it to look it's best?

I would like to get my hair colored blonde. how do i do it?

I wouldnt sugest that. Coloring doesnt damage your hair, but bleaching it really does. If you naturally have brown hair, i would just sugest high-lights, but go to a pro. for that. If you try to highlight yourself, it ends up looking like spots! lol. but foiling is only for high-lights, and if you do go blonde, be sure to get your eyebrows dyed, lol. It looks wierd when someone w/ blonde hair has dark brown eyebrows. lol

I would like to get my hair colored blonde. how do i do it?

bleach it.... you should def. go to your hairstylist. =]

I would like to get my hair colored blonde. how do i do it?

Cut off your arms.

(KIDDING!)

Go to a hairdresser. She can help you get back to your normal color and re-dye your hair.

I would like to get my hair colored blonde. how do i do it?

you should see a professional. because it could turn orange or something.

hair foiling is when they do certain pieces of hair. like when i got my hair highlighted 2 colors they foiled it so the colors wouldn't mix.

ask the profesional what you should do.

and remember going lighter is worse for your hair than making it darker.

I would like to get my hair colored blonde. how do i do it?

since you have to use bleach to lighten it its best to go to a pro. foiling is taking strips of foil placing your hair on top and painting the bleach on, they are used mainly for highlights.

Is it possible to go from a medium brown hair color to a natural blond?

I am going to a hair salon tomorrow AVEDA to get my hair cut and colored. I have what I believe to be medium brown hair, not 100% sure it could be considered dark aswell, but I have seen people with darker brown than mine.

I am wanting to put blond in my hair. I have had blond highlights once before but didn't like it because you really couldn't tell except when I stepped in the light just right.

I don't want to die my hair all the way blond, I don't want it to look fake. I want to go for a natural look. I want a brownish blond look, coloring hair is expensive so I want to look like I have blond in my hair.

I don't want a blond color that I will have to go touch up my roots every two or three weeks. Something that when my roots start to show they don't look to out of place?

Is it possible to reach this? How do I explain this to my stylist?

Sorry for the long ramble :S

Is it possible to go from a medium brown hair color to a natural blond?

Its absolutely possible to achieve the look you are wanting. Explain to your stylist exactly what you just said here. Your stylist will probably do foils, which is a method of high lighting your hair, but many different colors can be used.

As a hair stylist, if you came into my salon, I'd probably foil your hair with three different colors. My first color would be 1 level lighter than your natural color, the second color would be 3 levels lighter than your natural color and the third color would be 4 levels lighter than your natural. I would leave a thin piece (1/8th of an inch) of your natural color between each foil. After everything is done, all the colors will blend together giving you the look that you want. And because you have 4 colors in your hair (your natural plus the other three) it will look totally natural.

Is it possible to go from a medium brown hair color to a natural blond?

highlights prolly are u best choice

Is it possible to go from a medium brown hair color to a natural blond?

thats the same problem im having. im thinking of going a golden blonde so when my brown roots grow out i wont have to reach into my piggy bank and get touch-up money. look on the internet for celebrity hair color you like and print it out. take the photo to the stylist. Tell them " I am really picky about my hair, can you achieve this look". Make sure they sound and look confident. If they dont, go somewhere else. hair says alot about a woman

Is it possible to go from a medium brown hair color to a natural blond?

just like you eplained it to us. Just let her know that you want natural looking highlights, which are a few shades lighter than your natural color, and lighter and no matter what it will look "done". If you truly want it to look natural then sandy blonde highlights should look great with your loght brown hair. and also tell her to put highlights around the frame of your face but not where you can see it in the hairline around your face, know what I mean? Good luck!

Is it possible to go from a medium brown hair color to a natural blond?

Well you may have to do lt a couple of times before you can get lt really blonde. l have brown hair to and l died my hair and lt went an auburn color. so l gave up. but you`ll have to do lt at least try lt about three times. lt`s eventually gonna turn blonde. lt was awful when l tried to get my hair to go blonde.

What is a good over the counter hair color product to fully cover stubburn gray?

I want to color my hair blondish gold. I can't seem to get my hair that light nor can i cover all the gray. I have been using Preference by Loreal. Is there a special hair coloring product especially made to cover stubburn gray hair? My hair is mousy gray/brown when not colored.

What is a good over the counter hair color product to fully cover stubburn gray?

I'd suggest something by Garnier or Herbal Essences (since you said you already used LOreal), just make sure the box says for 100% grey coverage. You should be good to go.

What is a good over the counter hair color product to fully cover stubburn gray?

Haven't found it yet - let me know when you do!@~

What is a good over the counter hair color product to fully cover stubburn gray?

Oooh, blondish gold. Thats a hard one with gray hair. You going to have to go to a pro for that one. Box colors won't come out right, they'll come out too red. Check out your local beauty college!!!

What is a good over the counter hair color product to fully cover stubburn gray?

my mom uses revlon colorsilk, she's between 25 and 50% gray and it covers that all up. however, she dyes it black, so i don't know if blond/gold would cover as well as black does. colorsilk does promise 100% gray coverage though, so its worth a try, but if you don't want to mess around and risk messing up your hair a lot, you should go to a professional.

What is a good over the counter hair color product to fully cover stubburn gray?

Got a Little trick for you all and the hair dressers wont do it unless you ask because they want you to come back sooner for another Grey cover up..When you get your hair dye put the color from the tube on the Grey hair before you mix it with the peroxide.or developer. The white stuff is to lift color so color can be deposited.so Grey hair has no color to remove so you just need to put in the color.also leave it on the Grey for 15 minutes before you put on the mixed color

What is a good over the counter hair color product to fully cover stubburn gray?

Grey hair is very resitant to color. It's really best to have a professional do this for you because they will be able to address all of the variables.

As far as L'Oreal hair color goes, Excellence is a better product overall for dealing with greys.

For really resistant hair there are a few tricks that could be done, in a salon setting... but they aren't that simple to explain, to really get a desired color effect. One of the easier tricks would be to use a higher volume of peroxide to lift an extra level, and to blast the cuticle of your hair... helpful if it is resistant. A higher volume creates some problems in other areas because you will be dealing with an additional amount of brassiness on darker areas of your hair.

I can't think of any specific products available in stores, but I know they are out there! You would look for things that say "ultra lightening" or something to that effect. It's usually in the blonde shades. In darker shades it would be more high intensity.

How do get rid of demi-black hair color from light blonde hair.?

My naturally light blonde daughter is in love with coloring her hair crazy colors. I've been OK with her use of Manic Panic to do purple and rainbow etc. Recently, she put a black shadow underneath her hair and it's been over a month. Now I find out it's demi color. What now? Does it go away? Does it need to grow out? Can we color over it with a blonde color to get her back to original? is there any downside to repeated use of Manic Panic?

How do get rid of demi-black hair color from light blonde hair.?

You can buy hair colour remover at walmart. It's the only thing that will bleach out black from light hair....at least that I've found. It costs about $8 and comes in a white box with orange writing....I think it's either Clairol or L'oreal. The picture on the box is really dated, but the stuff inside works. However, it will turn her hair an orange colour. She may actually like it. It's designed to strip all colour safely so that it can be redyed immediately. You can colour over a blonde dye, but not black. You could also bleach it, but that's really hard on your hair....

Manic Panic is designed to wash out after a few shampoos, for the most part. Light colour hair dyed dark though is always hard to return to 'normal'. For the most part, it's completely harmless though....it's not going to eat her hair up and make it fall out, if that's what you're wondering. Just make sure she keeps a good deep conditioner on hand.

What is the best hair color to cover gray's?

I am 35 with just a few grey hairs on the top of my head. What is the best brand of hair color to use? I can't arfford to go to the salon so I do it at home.

They are right in the part of my hair so after 1 or 2 weeks of coloring you can see them.

Thanks for your input!

What is the best hair color to cover gray's?

It sounds like you don't like to do your roots every few weeks. If this is the problem then I would try the idea for Henna above. But be warned henna will react with any color you use after using the henna. You would have to let hennaed hear grow out before re coloring with a box kit at home.. Hope this helps.

Don't know what color you like but Henna will only give shades of red.

What is the best hair color to cover gray's?

Just for men is what i use.

it works great for me.

What is the best hair color to cover gray's?

Loreal is my favorite.

What is the best hair color to cover gray's?

Go wild! Black or Green? Good luck?

What is the best hair color to cover gray's?

If your hair would look good with reddish highlights, consider a henna treatment. The reddish color from the henna covers the grey, plus it's organic, plus it fades gradually over time so you don't have a sharp line of roots showing.

Make sure you don't over-treat, or you'll get fire-engine red hair. One way to make a henna treatment is to mix some henna powder into your everyday shampoo so you only use a little bit, but use it regularly.

Henna powder itself is a gross-looking olive green, and it looks nasty when mixed with shampoo or water, but the results are good. Be careful not to get wet henna paste on your hands; they'll turn red unless you rinse it right off.

Clarol or Loreal both work really well. I buy whichever one is on sale. Check the box to make sure it covers 100% gray hair.

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

I used a temporary hair color that lasts about 36 shampoos. I would like to lighten the color without coloring it again.

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

The best thing you can do is live with it until it fades in a month. Excessive washing will dry out and damage your hair. Re-coloring will also damage your hair. Wash it daily, use a good conditioner and give it time.

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

go bald its sexy or get a hat

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

Shampoo your hair.

35 times. No more, no less.

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

Shampoo it a few extra times in one day. It is the best you can do unless you let it fade on it's own. I had a similar problem. Washing it helped allot.

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

go in the sun a lot or bleachin time there is hair shampoos that lighten i tihnk

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

Re-clor it is the best choice. Or u can try washing it. Good luck

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

Like you said the color lasts 36 shampoos.

So the only way it fades is by shampooing.

Since it is going to last 36 shampoos, the best way is to shampoo five/six times daily.

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

Shampoo it a lot with clarifying shampoo. This should help strip the colour out. You should be able to notice a real difference after the sixth wash. Then switch back to your ordinary shampoo, and conditioner.

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

u should not use oil for about 3-4days and shampoo daily till u don't get the perfect colour and dry your hair with a towel so that the colour starts fading slowly and then with a hair dryer to make your self look good.

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

I did something similar once. Believe it or not I washed it with Dawn dish washing detergent. Just use about a dime size glob and be sure to rinse and condition well. It should lighten the shade a little bit.

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

By a highlighting kit that is meant to be used on top of coloring like Revlon's Custom Effects. It's not really intense like a lot of the highlighting kits are. I used it a hair color and then put "Lowlights" in and then "Highlights" and it came out great. I like it much better than other highlighters I have used and it didn't make my hair all dried out.

Good luck!

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

Go to a salon and ask for a "toner" which tones down the color. They should be able to recommend something until the color washes out.

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

Temporary colors always go on much, much more intense than you plan on. But the good news is that they fade a bit every time you shampoo. Give it about a week, and you should have the color your were going for. Until then, just put it in a ponytail.

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

go to a salon an ask for a shampoo, color and developer mix a shade lighter. this works great

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

there's this stuff called sun-in that you put in your hair and then go in the sun and it lightens it up

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

It sounds crazy, but try really cheap dish soap, or a laundry detergent, like tide. Wash your hair a few times and condition the heck out of it.

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

Warm some olive oil and put on your hair. Wrap it in clingfilm and leave for 20 / 30 minutes. Shampoo your hair BEFORE WETTING it, then rinse (wet it first and you wont get the oil out) This will "fade" the dye by taking out some of the colour from your hair, so the end colour should be lighter ( and well condititioned) This is a good tip if you ever colour your hair an decide you dont like it.

I recently colored my hair and it is way too dark. Any suggestions?

Use dish detergent and then a good conditioner.

What can i do to help strip out hair color quicker, && get my natural color [chocolate brown

ok so i have been coloring my hair about a year now. i got it bleached blonde a year ago...... and then i have colored it brown twice after that..... and then i have higlighted it brown many times [6?]. what helps to get unnatural hair colors out? my roots always come in really quick..... they are a chocolate brown color. my roots are here now whatcan i do to get the rest coming quicker? i've decided i am not coloring my hair for at least a whole year..... so i want it too look natural. :)

What can i do to help strip out hair color quicker, %26amp;%26amp; get my natural color [chocolate brown] back?

You don't need to strip your color. Stripping is only effective if you are going from dark to light. Since you are trying to get your natural dark brown, all you would have to do is color over your existing color.

It is really hard to get a natural-looking dark brown when coloring over highlights. There are a lot of different factors that go into it. Color-treated hair is more porous and will take colors deeper than what you see on the box. Also there are different tones within a color number that could influence what your end result would look like (i.e. warm, neutral, cool.)

Not knowing the current condition of your hair, it has hard to recommend what over-the-counter product would be good for you. If you have been getting your hair done in a salon, I would bite the bullet and ask your colorist to do it since they are already familiar with your hair and how well it holds color.

Please also keep in mind that your hair might still fade over time and you would have to get touch-ups every now and again to avoid the two-tone look. Happy coloring!!

What can i do to help strip out hair color quicker, %26amp;%26amp; get my natural color [chocolate brown] back?

Just dye all your hair the color of your roots, so it does not look all weird. and just let it grow. Cut your hair often (just the ends that is) don't use straighteners, blowdryers, and curling irons too much either.

What can i do to help strip out hair color quicker, %26amp;%26amp; get my natural color [chocolate brown] back?

i would let the salon do it

What can i do to help strip out hair color quicker, %26amp;%26amp; get my natural color [chocolate brown] back?

Since you have lightened your hair previously, you are going to have to use a filler, which is a semi-permanent color one level lighter than your natural, or the color you want to have. So if you are a natural level 6 brown, you would want to use a seven natural.. Put it in for 15-20 minutes then remove excess color with a towel, do not wash out. The use the color you are wanting to go, if your hair is a chocolate brown, you would want to use that. However if you have unnatural hues of color, you will want to counteract them with your filler. For instance if you have red shining through you would want to use the opposite.. a ash color. You are going to have to color you hair.. to make it look natural... then stop coloring. You will have problems with fading, since you pre lightened your hair, but the filler should help. This is a color correction, you should have a well respected stylist/colorist, help you, it can get complicated.

What can i do to help strip out hair color quicker, %26amp;%26amp; get my natural color [chocolate brown] back?

PLEASE do not strip ur hair. That damages it more than anything. The lighter color will not come out even w/ a stripper because u have taken color out already. The only thing u can do is color over it. U will probably need a filler before coloring though to get the color to stay in. If u don't want to color it all in u could get low lights put in the color of your roots to make it look natural as it's growing out w/out having to go for a drastic change all at once.

What can i do to help strip out hair color quicker, %26amp;%26amp; get my natural color [chocolate brown] back?

You need a FILLER before they apply you brown color in. I had it don't a fiem months ago to give my hair a break from highlights. I cant even see the root line. Don't use box hair color!!! Its what gives you that reddish fryed look.lol Just get them to do the filler and your natural brown its worth the money and last forever...

Have you tried rubbing alcohol? That would be less harsh than bleach but if alcohol doesn't work then you may have to use something harsher.

Hair color products for men and women, any significant differences?

Will there be a significant change in outcome if a person used the hair coloring material for the opposite sex ?

Hair color products for men and women, any significant differences?

NO hair color for men and women is not for opposite sex my CZ use women hair color in men in that material not for opposite sex.

Hair color products for men and women, any significant differences?

Hi! Absolutely not! Colour for hair is for all types of hair and genders!

Do NOT believe these stories, as they may say that but it is all to sell more products! Sad but True! If you are looking to colour your hair, the best results will be achieved by getting it done at a salon where they use professional hair products which ensure less fading, great coverage, and a natural looking shine.

What is the exact hair color that Miley Cyrus has?

Because I would like to dye my hair that color. And I need to know what hair coloring product works best on african american hair?

What is the exact hair color that Miley Cyrus has?

All I can tell you is that she has a light blonde wig and (somewhere around) an auburn color.

I need HELP my with hair color nightmare!!!?

Ok, I have been coloring my hair at home for a long time. I always get great results and I get compliments that it looks natural and very healthy. That being said I have been "ultra light natural blonde" for half my life and I wanted to try something new. SO, I went to a salon and even brought in photos and a FULL description of what I wanted. I wanted some warm low lights put in and a couple more drastic lowlights in the front. Well, I left the salon with very light blonde mixed with a "dark color" not the warm honey color I wanted and it looked grey. SO, I went back THIS IS WHERE IT GOES BAD TO WORSE! She then pulls out all the color bringing me to a very golden blonde, and says she can fix it by adding layers of highlights and low lights.I ended up with almost black CHUNKS of streaks mixed with now WHITE. I looked like a skunk. Now I am in tears! She then proceeds to do a bleach shampoo on the dark areas. My hair is white/yellow/orange. Can I fix this with a toner. PLEASE HELP!thanks

I need HELP my with hair color nightmare!!!?

Go to a different hairdresser, one that has a good reputation. GO NOW.

I need HELP my with hair color nightmare!!!?

toner can take some of the orange out... but you'll probably have to wait a week and maybe get all the color stripped out if it still looks bad and you can't live with it.

I need HELP my with hair color nightmare!!!?

yea, stop going to that person and see someone else

I need HELP my with hair color nightmare!!!?

First of all go ask for your money back . Spend that money on the dye u usually use and soak the streaks in that then do the same thing to the rest of the hair do it over and over untill it's back to normal WARNING: I have never done this before this is just my educated guess

I need HELP my with hair color nightmare!!!?

First off - get your money back from the first salon! If you aren't happy with the results, you shouldn't have to pay for it. I would then go to a salon that has a good reputation for hair color - ask around to see where people you know go. Hair colors and shades work different with everyone so you need someone who is going to do it right. Since you are having all this stuff done to your hair, I'd also suggest getting a deep conditioning treatment so you don't dry out your hair too much - Pantene has a good one. I hope this helps and everything works out for you!

I need HELP my with hair color nightmare!!!?

look sweetie, please go to a professional color corrective specialist- asap! the hairstylist should've never done this process on ur hair- and let me tell u- i know u might feel really upset and hate ur hair right now but i suggest u leave it alone for about 3 weeks- u're going to really damage ur hair and it will either start to fall out and or start to break off due to all the chemicals.

what u need to do is get color ur hair all one whole color and start over from scratch- that is the best way. trust me, i'm a hairstylist and i know how u must feel- but please take my advice. good luck.

I need HELP my with hair color nightmare!!!?

yea definitely see someone else and get your money back. then i would complain for an hour, lol, asking her would she want her hair to look like that.

I need HELP my with hair color nightmare!!!?

since your hair looked so natural...did the hairdresser assume that your hair was not processed? You probably need to contact the owner of that salon, and have her correct the problem.. It seems to me that you are a better hairdresser (on your own hair)...than the salon.

I need HELP my with hair color nightmare!!!?

when we are applying low lights to hair that has been bleached out , the hair will normally color into a drab or cool base color ( muddy versus warm ) It can be difficult even for the best hair designer to actually get the golden/honey color that you wanted . However , some color lines are better for this situation . Also , when we add low lights the color should be either a demi or semi permanent hair color . You don't need to use permanent color . The demi and semi color colors previously bleached hair into a golden/honey better than permanent . It also seems as the hair designer may have chosen to dark a color for the low lights . Unfortunately your in a bad position at this point . I feel your best bet would be to seek out a DIFFERENT stylist that specializes in corrective hair color and cross your fingers .

I need HELP my with hair color nightmare!!!?

Definently get your money back, go to a different hair salon....A toner should work, toners make blondes so beautiful....go to a salon and see...good luck

Has anyone used that hair color stuff from the health store - Naturcolor?

I am leary about using something from a health food store to color my hair...but..at my local health food store..they have this product called Naturcolor.. Suppose to be all natural and health for the hair than other hair coloring stuff.. Has anyone used this? Any advice/information?

thanks.. It costs about $16..so don't want to purchase on a whim..

Has anyone used that hair color stuff from the health store - Naturcolor?

I use it, the light blonde one, i've used both this and the regular one. I find that other then it saves from damage it has no other advantage... i makes your hair dull ALLOT!

Has anyone used that hair color stuff from the health store - Naturcolor?

yeah it washed out about three days later when i went swimming in a freshwater lake :(

Right Hair Color???

Hi Everyone-

Looking for any opinions...I have very fair/pale skin with big brown eyes and freckles. Growing up I had blonde/dirty blonde hair. I have always highlighted it varying shides of blonde but kind of want to shake things up. Has anyone with similar coloring ever gone brunette??? Or how do you think this would look on someone with my coloring? Would it be best to stick with the blonde? It just is getting kind of tired and i want a change! any opinions appreciated thanks!

Right Hair Color???

Almost anyone can go brunette, but getting the right color depends on the undertones in your skin. I'm betting, since you have fair skin and freckles, that you likely have rosy undertones, and that you fall into the cool tone category. There are lots of cool techniques for brunettes right now (check out Amanda Peet's glossy brunette locks on Studio 60). It's the result of a salon technique called panelling. It gives brunette shades a great multi-dimensional effect, rather than the monochrome results that often come from home color-kits. Since you're familiar with the highlighting process, I'm betting that you're no stranger to the salon. So, ask your stylist about brunette options. She'll help you pick the right shade for your skin tone, and she'll go over the various techniques available.

Right Hair Color???

i'm pretty fair-skinned, and i just dyed my bleach blonde hair dark brownish/red! i love it...just make sure you go to a stylist so they can prime your hair first...otherwise it might turn green. best of luck to you! i'm sure it would look awesome!

Right Hair Color???

Try a light auburn. I think it will compliment your freckles and brown eyes and add a new spark. A golden brown might be good too. I went auburn, but my eyes are blue and I have a rosy complexion. Good luck.

Right Hair Color???

A friend of mine has similar coloring- You should get the peek-a-boo effect!

The stylist will dye your hair, and leave a few streaks of white blond- It looks really cool! Good luck!!

Right Hair Color???

i think a light auburn or light brown with red in it would be nice...

Right Hair Color???

I would recommend trying it out with a semi-permanent color first somewhere between medium to dark brown to match your eyes. If you don't want to pay a stylist to 'prime' it you can dye it a medium ash brown first, then dye it the darker auburn brown that would probably look great with your skin tone and eyes.

Is my hair color aging me ?

I'm almost 30 and have been dying my hair light blond for long time.

I'm very pale skinned with light blue green eyes and I'm growing out my hair which is short chin length right now.

I think that my hair is starting to look washed out and not flattering as a dyed blonde.

I'm thinking that a light Auburn would look best with my coloring.

Any suggestions on my choice ?

Is my hair color aging me ?

dont dye it blonde again as it will become washed out and fake. try to find the natural hair color under all the blonde and if you cant, try something basic(brown, black, or even that auburn that you were thinking about!) good luck! :)

Is my hair color aging me ?

absolutely you will look ten times better don't blond it again as you get older it starts to look cheap and brassy good luck

Is my hair color aging me ?

What's your natural hair colour? Wouldn't you like to find out how you look that way - after all, you were made with that colour to go with your complection, etc. Talk to your stylist about getting some caramel streaks or something to work with until you grow out your own hair colour - you will love it! -- and no extra risk of cancer, anymore!

Is my hair color aging me ?

try it. I did and I like me better with darker hair. Go a golden blonde first, and work your way down to a darker shade, one-two shades a month or so

Is my hair color aging me ?

You skin tones change as you get older and you get paler. If your hair color is too pale, it will wash you out. Auburn might be too strong a color. Try strawberry blonde.

Is my hair color aging me ?

well my mom dies her hair blonde and she had the same problem until i told her to try nice n easy. it colors your hair to make it look fresh and natural. instead of blonde try brown with blonde highlights, you wont look too young and you wont look too old.

Is my hair color aging me ?

SRRY BUT I THINK SO JUST BUY SOME COLOR THING FROM A DRUGSTORE AND COLOR UR HAIR THTS WUT MY PARENTS DO GOOD LOOK TRY MAKING UR HAIR BLACK OR BRUNEETE OR DARK OR LIGHT BROWN

Is my hair color aging me ?

I can't say if it is aging you. My hair is naturally blonde and I have no grey hair. I am 46. If I looked in the mirror and saw a different color I would freak.

Is my hair color aging me ?

i think u should dye it ur origen ul color which it light brown it is soooooooo not blah i would kill 4 any brown hair.

Is my hair color aging me ?

It sounds like we have similar skin coloring and eye color, so I'll tell you what I chose, for the exact same reason as you...

My hair dresser put 50% low lights consisting of a buttery gold color and a rich medium brown. It mostly resembles Jennifer Aniston's color. It still has some blond, which I like, but the color is much more striking and definitely has more depth. My skin color brightened immensely and my eyes pop out now.

Is my hair color aging me ?

i was juuust about to suggest auburn

that's a great choice for natural blondes

dont do anything drastic like dye your hair black, unless you want a gothic look

or if you dont want auburn, consider getting lowlights

they're a less drastic way of completely changing your look

great for your age, instead of trying to look like a teenager dying her hair blonde over and over again.

hope this helps :)

Where can I find bright colors of dye for men's facial hair?

I want safe dye like what scott spezio (from the cardinals) uses.

http://i.a.cnn.net/si/2006/writers/aditi...

I think thats cool, but i might dye it green or blue or bright red or orange. maybe pink. I want to see a selection of bright facial hair dyes, or hair dyes that are safe for facial hair dying.

Right now, my soul patch is pretty thin, but it has a lot of short light blonde hairs that almost look bleached then some longer maybe half cm black hairs. I want to dye them all one bright color. If i dye them will it still grow? will it look good or be safe? I want a link to good bright hair coloring products that will be safe for my face... thats all. any recomendations of brands or colors would help, but im not looking for any natural colors. :D thanks!

Where can I find bright colors of dye for men's facial hair?

To answer all of your questions: Yes, your hair will still grow after it's dyed. If by good you mean the color is even and doesnt look blotchy yes it will and yes, it will be safe.

Now for the specifics...

Even though your hair may be really light, bleaching it is a good idea before you put on a semi-permanent color because it opens the hair shaft and makes it accept color better. For your face I'd buy Jolene bleach at a drug store--yes, the stuff girls use to bleach their moustaches.

After you've bleached, you should apply the semi-permanent dye. Two good ones to try are Manic Panic or Special Effects (you can easily find their websites by googling either company--you can also usually find them at either beauty supply stores or Hot Topic) I personally like Special Effects because its thicker so it won't run on your face and it tends to be brighter/last longer.

Before you apply, do an allergy test on your arm. Put a little dye on the underside of your forearm and wait 24 hours, if it's not itchy, stingy or otherwise abnormal, you're good to go.

Apply a thin layer of Vaseline around your hair so your skin doesn't get dyed, apply the dye, let it sit for at least 20 minutes, wash off and you're done.

BTW, altogether this method should cost you less than $15

Good luck...

Where can I find bright colors of dye for men's facial hair?

I would try bettybeauty.com Of course that dye is for something else but should be safe for a beard.

Where can I find bright colors of dye for men's facial hair?

try some colored spray to test and see if you like the color, then if you like it... i woild suggest going to a hair stylist to get it done... you wouldnt want to ruin the soul patch!! =]

I want to color my hair blond?

I want to color my hair blond when usually I have dark brown hair. Any suggestions on how to make it turn out good? Any brands of home hair coloring kits you have used that have worked or didn't work?

I want to color my hair blond?

Do NOT do it at home. Any time you do something drastic like that, you really should go to a salon. It will cost a little more money but trust me, it will be worth it. Every time I've seen someone with dark brown hair try to go blond with home dye it's turned out reeeally badly. Trust the pros for such a big change.

I want to color my hair blond?

Here's some checks of proof ( Click back then go on http://www.100wgezi.com to get started)

I want to color my hair blond?

go 2 a salon SERIOUSLY, unless u wnt yelow hair?? anyone i know dat has died their hair blonde at home has turnd out yellow, trust me itll look a million times better if you get it done professionally!!

I want to color my hair blond?

here what, u should put some blond highlights first just to see how it would look so in that way u wouldnt have such a drastic change all at once,,see how it looks and then decide...it will give u an idea on how it would look...i did it and it helped me....

I want to color my hair blond?

Try The Bleaching kits like::Born Blond any blond bleach kit from Waltmart or target just make sure that you dont wash your hair before you do it*****The longer you leave in the product the better the bleach will work but no longer than 2 hours !!!just remember since your hair is dark you may have to it again the next day because your hair will probraly still have some redish hairs!!! trust sometimes the salons can't even get you light blonde !!! so save money and pick a good dye bleach from the stores I told you!!!Good luck

I want to color my hair blond?

Don't use home-color bleach! This will make your hair dry, brittle and worse of all when you dye your natural dark brown hair, the end result will look red/coppish. Go to a salon that will suggest a method of bringing your hair tone down. Home-care bleaching is what you may have called before 'Suicide Blond'.

I want to color my hair blond?

If you have dark brown hair and you are going blonde beware!! I have done that before and my hair turned bright orange! I used an at-home brand that had bleach in it... bleach is no good. Bleach will fry your hair and most likely it will turn orange. I would suggest going to a salon or a beauty school for such a dramatic change...

I want to color my hair blond?

I have naturally brown hair but have been dying it blonde since I was barely a teenager- one of the best at-home kits I've ever tried is L'Oreal Couleur Experte. They have dozens of shades to choose from, you can pick whether you want cool, warm or neutral undertones-- and the side of the box has examples of what the finished result will look like depending on what color you are starting from.

You'll first apply hair dye all over to lighten your base color a bit. Next, you apply highlights to random strands around your head-- the booklet that comes in the kit is pretty concise and tells you where to place the highlights for different looks. These kits are a little more expensive than the single-process hair coloring kits, but so much cheaper than getting it done professionally.

My tips:

*Make sure you have a couple of hours to do your hair because it takes a little while between applying the dye, letting it set, rinsing your hair, applying highlights, letting them set and rinsing and conditioning your hair-- especially if this is your first time.

*Grab a friend to help you. It's possible to do it on your own but it will be a lot easier if you have someone to do the highlights at the back of your head and give you a second opinion on where to place them and everything.

*Apply the highlights in thin stripes as opposed to doing them in big chunks- through experience, I've found that this looks a lot better and more natural.

*Also, apply less highlights than you think you'll need- I've put way too many in at times and turned the majority of my hair a white-blonde color. Apply the highlights as accents, not hair dye!

*If your hair looks brassy or orange-toned when you rinse it, don't worry too much- it will dry to a more normal tone. If it is still too brassy for your liking, you can buy special shampoo for under $5 at Sally's Beauty Supply that will neutralize the color with purple.

Good luck!!

I want to color my hair blond?

Anything at home will make it go Orange/yellow...and that doesnt look good..go to the salon

I want to color my hair temporary black,...?

I heard that food coloring works.

Are thier other things i can use other then

hair color dyes you can buy at target?

I want to color my hair darker.A lot darker.

Black almost,or maybe black.

Help me?

I want to color my hair temporary black,...?

umm i dont recomened using food colouring

you could get a splotchy look

if you go to walmart and go to the hair dye department theres usually temporary hair dye

if you are a light hair colour already you might have to double it to get the "black" look you want

and make sure when you do it at home you get all the hair

and you wash it out really good

I want to color my hair temporary black,...?

Without knowing what color your hair is now and whether it is your natural color or if you would be adding color on top of color, it's really impossible to answer your question. However, I am fairly confident that food coloring won't do the trick.

I want to color my hair temporary black,...?

Nice 2 know

mmm u wan try some wash. loreal used to have semi permanent hair dyes designed for teens. it was like a mousse. i dont know if they have them still.

I don't know if my hair color will come out...?

I dyed my hair with a box of chocolate brown hair coloring by garnier nutresse. I noticed that whenever i take a shower that my hair looks lighter every time. My uncle said it might be from the chlorine in the shower water, but I was visiting a relatives house at that time so I don't know if my water will do the same thing. I bought some garnier nutresse shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair, but I don't know if that will help keep the color in my hair.

I don't know if my hair color will come out...?

well did you buy a permanent hair colour, or a semi permanent? regardless, hair colour is made of molecules. when you colour the hair, the peroxide lifts the cuticle of your hair so the colour and seep in.

once the cuticle has been lifted, it will always stay semi lifted. this is why when you wash your hair, it may look lighter everytime.

even if a colour is permanent, it does not mean it will actually stay in your hair forever. it will stay in your hair, just not the exact shade you aquired in the beginning.

I don't know if my hair color will come out...?

get special shampoo and spray detangler it worked for me

I don't know if my hair color will come out...?

Try using a shampoo and conditioner that has color in it. It will deposit color while washing %26amp; conditioning so your hair will not fade as fast. Also, its good to use a temporary color to refresh between colorings.

What causes hair color to fade after only a few days?

I colored my hair in a new shade that I really love, but it fades completely in about a week. It is within 2 shades of my natural color but it just will not last. I have been coloring for years and have never had this problem before.

What causes hair color to fade after only a few days?

some shampoos just wash it away. are you using the kind for dyed hair? or if you are using an anti frizz serum that stuff will take the color right out unless it is the kind made for dyed hair.

What causes hair color to fade after only a few days?

Try using a shampoo and conditioner for colored hair only.

What causes hair color to fade after only a few days?

when u shower and swim it takes the color out i dont know y you havent had that problem before

What causes hair color to fade after only a few days?

look on the hair dye packet and see what it says when colour goes

What causes hair color to fade after only a few days?

Maybe the type of color you're using is a temporary blend.

I have my hair professionally colored and it does the same thing. Well, it doesn't wash out completely, but the excess doesn't wash out. It's frustrating to watch all that money literally go down the drain.

Also, another factor could be the color you had in you hair before. If it was a lighter color then the darker color might not take and vice versa.

Are you going in the sun a lot? The sun could be lightening your hair too.

What causes hair color to fade after only a few days?

My beautician told me that the change in water (temperature, chlorine level, etc.) can have an effect on hair color, as well as the shampoo and conditioner. I would recommend using the products (shampoo, conditioner, mousse, spritz, etc.) from the same manufacturer of the color you used.

Why does my hair color keep fading so quickly?

I've been coloring my hair since I was 14 and I'm 21 now so for seven years...wow...anyway I've never had any trouble with it fading quickly. I havn't changed much about how I tend to my hair except in the last 2 yrs I've started to straighten it. Will this make my hair fade quicker is there a time period of which i need to wait after dying my hair before I can start straightening it again?

Why does my hair color keep fading so quickly?

Is it red? Red is the fastest fading color. Try washing your hair with cold water, and a color safe shampoo and conditioner. If you hair is red, there is a great line of products from Matrix that can put pigment back into your hair, so basically every time you wash your hair you are kinda dyeing it. They make 6 different colors, cool brown, warm brown, cool red, warm red, cool blonde, and warm blonde. I absolutely loves these shampoos, especially the red ones.

Oh yeah, and are you using the crappy box dyes? Those fade after only a couple weeks. Go to Sally Beauty or any other reputable beauty supply store, don't go to a retail store to buy dye (ex: Target, Ulta, Walmart). So anyways, get a permanent color, obviously to last longer, then after you wash out the dye, towel dry, and apply a clear gloss, leave on for 15 min, and wash out. This will seal in the color for about 4-6 weeks, guaranteed.

Before you dyed your hair dark did you fill it? You are supposed to fill it with a protein filler that will go in and sort of pre-dye the hair so it will last way longer and also have even results. Next time, get a dark brown protein filler, apply on dry hair, leave in about 20 min, and wash out. Blow dry and follow with your dye, if you have remainder of the filler left, you should add it to the dye to make it more potent. Also, you don't have to wait any time after dyeing your hair to start straightening it again.

Why does my hair color keep fading so quickly?

It fades so quickly because your using hot water to wash your hair. Try using cooler water.

EDIT : It doesnt matter how or where you get your hair colored, hot water takes the color out of your hair.

Why does my hair color keep fading so quickly?

you should bring a hair color without amoniac

Why does my hair color keep fading so quickly?

hey hey

yeah straitening would affect it from all the heat and too much shamoping and conditioning or if you swim or are in the sun to much

and if you use you products becarful some products have strippinga agents which can overtime lighten your hair colours

Why does my hair color keep fading so quickly?

your buying the hair dy from th e store right ? .

if so you should get it done at the hair dressers .

Will using high lift hair color on your hair twice make it lighter?

Hi, I used ion brand hair color "high lift cool blonde" HL/V-12.2 on my bleached blonde (a combo of light yellow and LIGHT strawberry/orange color) with a 40 volume developer. It isn't platinum like I want it to be, so can I color it again with the same stuff or should I do something different? I also have a "high lift ash blonde" HL/B-12.1 that I could use. Should I use the shimmering lights shampoo before coloring it again? I have been conditioning it like crazy with good stuff, so I don't need help with that part. I just need to know how I can make it lighter.~Thanks so much!

Will using high lift hair color on your hair twice make it lighter?

If your trying to go platinum why are you using any strawberry color, that is why your hair can't lift to platinum. Before you ruin your hair or dry it by coloring yourself again. Go fix it at a salon. Mainly because they have good professional products and they can apply the color faster than you if it doesn't need to sit for long. Just remember that when your trying to go platinum, use bleach not a high lift color, color never gets as light as bleach, and never add a red/orange tone that is only working against you... GOOD LUCK

Which non natural colored hair dye?

I want to put some purple, turquoise, or bluish streaks in my hair... does anyone have an idea of what brand of hair coloring I should buy to do this? also, does anyone have any good tips for putting "different" colors like this in your hair?

I'm having trouble keeping the blue/black color in my hair!?

Whenever i wash my hair the blue/black color comes off everyday after coloring it making the water purplish, is this suppose to happen? the color doesn't seem to stay! when I dye my hair i leave the color in my hair 25-30 min. My hair is realy long. Is there something I am doing wrong? I am using Garnier 100%. My previous hair color was chesnut brown and my original hair color is black.

Also is there a way to make the blue show more?

Please%26amp;Thank you!

I'm having trouble keeping the blue/black color in my hair!?

The blue is only suppose to show in the Sun light...Its a Blue Tint, Your hair isnt actualy suppose to be blue..And The water will be purplish for a while, It's the haircolor coming out..It happens with all hair color.

I'm having trouble keeping the blue/black color in my hair!?

When you wash your hair you are washing color off. . .there is nothing you can do about this. I would recommend lessening your shampoo's and don't wash your hair for at least 3 days after coloring it. Allow the color to absorb on to your hair. Also store bought color is not intense like professional color used in the salon. Say "NO to DRUG. . . . . . STORE PRODUCTS". Get it done professionally.

I'm having trouble keeping the blue/black color in my hair!?

i dont know.....

What is a good hair color brand for african american hair?

I would like to know what hair coloring brands are best for african american hair. I would like to dye my own hair an auburn color but not sure what brand is good.

What is a good hair color brand for african american hair?

Search Here!!

What is a good hair color brand for african american hair?

loreal

What is a good hair color brand for african american hair?

Goldwell is awesome.

Go to your hairdresser to have the initial dye done, so she can trim your dead ends. That way, the color won't be as damaging.

What is a good hair color brand for african american hair?

Jazzing is a good brand, I would say Dark %26amp; Lovely but try their semi-perm... not permanent color. A brand that does not have ammonia or peroxide, or low ammonia and no peroxide which means a rinse, cellophane, or semi-permanent color because it is healthiest on African American hair. Be careful if your hair is permed or relaxed because double process can be damaging as well... so stick to rinses and cellophanes.

Is it worthwhile to color very short hair?

I'm a man who wears his hair very short -- a buzz cut all over. If it gets over quarter an inch, I think its getting long.

I've also had my hair colored red in the past, when it was longer, and liked the results. However, my suspicion is that its too short to color now.

Is it worth coloring very short hair?

My hair is very black, graying around the temples.

Is it worthwhile to color very short hair?

well my guess is that you can still dye it. as long as there is hair on your head, it should hold color. but your scalp might also get a lot of dye on it b/c your hair is so short and your scalp is more exposed. so make sure the stylist washes and rinses well after dyeing it. when i dyed my hair jet black i had black patches on my scalp from the dye, and my hair is very long. other than that, i say go for it.

Is it worthwhile to color very short hair?

I believe it's worth it if you want it. If it's that short it shouldn't cost that much to do either. If you want to, go for it!

Is it worthwhile to color very short hair?

sally's has a touch up pen that comes in black or dark brown i have several clients who use them to get them thru til the next color and if you are just graying at temples this is the best solution your hair is to short and it would be a waste of money

Best way to lighten hair over the summer? Without coloring?

I've heard of using lemon juice. Any other fun ways to lighten my hair over this summer?

Best way to lighten hair over the summer? Without coloring?

Lemon juice seems to work really well. Drench it in lemon juice and set out in the sun. You can multi-task and get a new tan too. But the sun helps pull out the high lights. You can also buy a bottle of SUN-IN. That has the same effects.

Best way to lighten hair over the summer? Without coloring?

spritz on SunIn... can be bought at any local CVS/Walgreens/WalMart etc.

Best way to lighten hair over the summer? Without coloring?

lemon juice is a good one Apply and go into the sun for about 30 minutes at a time. Remember to wear your sunblock.

Best way to lighten hair over the summer? Without coloring?

Sun and spray!!!

Best way to lighten hair over the summer? Without coloring?

In seventeen magazine, they say vodka. You have to comb it in your hair and be in the sun for at least a half an hour. Hope this works!

Best way to lighten hair over the summer? Without coloring?

mix together 1 cup of lemon juice, 1/2 cup of white vinegar and 1 cup of mustard. apply to hair, roots to ends. then sit out in the sun for 10 min. wash out of hair with warm water. this will give your hair a beautiful glow.

Best way to lighten hair over the summer? Without coloring?

My mom said when she was young she used to use lemon juice on her hair, but it made it turn a yellow-ish color--not very natural looking. You could try a product in the hair dye section of the store called Sun-In. You spray it in your hair, go out in the sun, and it lightens.

Good luck!

Best way to lighten hair over the summer? Without coloring?

Professional help will be the better way, lemon is better in lemonade and sunin is a metallic solution that attack your natural color and it is not controlled. If you want professional color after it will be trick because product are not compatible think about it!

Best way to lighten hair over the summer? Without coloring?

well, there is this stuff called Sun-In.

it's available at walmart. i'm considering using it this summer. it's just a spray you put in your hair and then go outside for a few hours and it's supposed to lighten your natural hair color and give you natural highlights. here's the link to the website if you want more information.

Best way to lighten hair over the summer? Without coloring?

I don't use anything my advice to you Is to be in the sun a lot just don't forget sunscreen It worked for me It might work for you too

Best way to lighten hair over the summer? Without coloring?

lemon juice, is popular, but also just have fun in the sun, to get that sun-kissed look.... you could also get some lightening gel, and put some in random areas of your hair, if you want a summer look, but if you dont want to go through all of these processes each and every day, you can just go to a salon, adn ask for sun-kissed highlights that go with your skin color.

Best way to lighten hair over the summer? Without coloring?

i've heard about using coffee. with sun-in, ive heard that it makes some ppls hair orange, im not sure though

Best way to lighten hair over the summer? Without coloring?

try getting sun in ,its a spray you can put in your hair , it may be called something else where you are but if you go to the chemist and ask them they might help if not go to your local shop and look in the hair care aisle. Hope that helps .T

Best way to lighten hair over the summer? Without coloring?

just stay outside it will naturally lighten

Question about hair color and pregnancy?

I heard that natural instincts is ok for pregnant women because it's not permanent therfore it does not have those harsh chemicals. Anyway I decided to use it last night and it has damaged my hair. I regret doing it now cause my hair looks so dried and fried. What can I do to help my hair look a little better until this stuff washes out. Plus now I am worried because if it made my hair look that bad does that mean there is stuff in it that could harm the baby?? I don't mean to sound dumb but I have heard that coloring is a bad idea when you are pregnant.

Question about hair color and pregnancy?

My midwife told me both times not to use hair color while I was pregnant and my hair dresser refused to even straighten my hair while pregnant. If you are truly concerned you should speak w/your OB/Midwife about it and see what he/she has to say.

Here are few suggestion about what to do with your hair. Try Neutrogena Triple Moisture Daily Deep Conditioner you can get it for about $5.00, its cheap and affordable and works good but you have to use it every day to keep the results. Or try Nexxus Humectress you can get it for about $15.00 and you can use it for a deep conditioning or a leave in treatment. Either can be purchased at Walmart, Target, etc. I use the Neutrogena as a daily conditioner and the Nexxus as a weekly treatment.

Good Luck w/your hair and your btb!!

Question about hair color and pregnancy?

yes all hair cooring is bad you are not supposed to do so.its because of the smell. they tell you to do it in a ventalated area even when your not pregnant the fumes could harm your child... i had pink hair when i found out i was preggers you know how mad i was to keep it for 9 months

Question about hair color and pregnancy?

I am a licensed cosmetologist. Coloring your hair has absolutely No effect on the baby! for you hair though, use a deep conditioner.

PS my daughter's name is Jaelyn.

Question about hair color and pregnancy?

congrats i heard you can do that in second trimester

Question about hair color and pregnancy?

JUST DON'T PUT BLEACH RIGHT ON YOUR SCALP- IF YOU USUALLY LIGHTEN YOUR HAIR. SOMETIMES THE CHEMICALS MAKE YOU SICK (THE SMELL) BUT HAVE A TALK WITH YOUR OBGYN AND THEN DECIDE FOR YOURSELF. MY HAIRDRESSER HAS HAD 2 KIDS AND JUST HAS THE RULE ABOUT NO BLEACH DIRECTLY NEAR THE SCALP.... AND HER KIDS (ONE IS 7 AND ONE IS 9 MONTHS) ARE HEALTHY AS CAN BE!

Question about hair color and pregnancy?

Condition your hair everyday after you wash it. I heard the Ganier Fructise stuff is good. Im not sure your hair texture, but pantene conditioners seem to be a best bet also. I used relaxed and natural conditioner and products. works well.

Question about hair color and pregnancy?

My friend did her hair the whole time she was pregnant but had to do it at home b/c the hair dresser wouldn't b.c of the smell. her Dr. had told her it was ok though. I personally wouldn't though too many things act weird when your pregnant. My hair completely changed color after I had my first baby.

Question about hair color and pregnancy?

There is nothing wrong with dying your hair.Your hair did get damaged because of the chemicals but it will not harm the baby. Now to hydrate your hair you can buy the Biosilk which works wonders on anyones hair.I reccommend it for sure.I had dry hair but now it looks great because of it!!I'm also 10 weeks pregnant and dyed my hair and nothing happened to the baby.

Question about hair color and pregnancy?

Honestly I wouldnt ever use any chemicals, drugs or alcohol....Especially being pregnant....Having a healthy baby is way more important.

Question about hair color and pregnancy?

Just make sure you're not in your first trimester and always do it in a very, very well ventilated area.

Question about hair color and pregnancy?

I had my hair highlighted twice in a salon while I was pregnant. I know you have heard a lot about the dangers, but I think that's an overreaction, I suggest you buy a VO5 hot oil treatment to help condition your burnt hair, but don't worry about it's effects on your fetus.

Hair color opinions?

i have veryyyy pale skin, with i guess peachy undertones, and bright blue eyes

im coloring my hair and idk what color to go with, i was thinking like alexis bledel or mandy moore. any opinions/advice?

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f370/B...

http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w174/...

Hair color opinions?

Go with a medium brown with golden blond highlights.

Hair color opinions?

blonde

Hair color opinions?

Definitely, go for it. I think you'd look adorable. What is your hair color now? I think you should add some soft highlights to a color like Alexis's or Mandy's. Maybe a little auburn? Good luck.

Hair color opinions?

go blonde or light liht brown if your pale and get a dark color its gonna make your skinner even paler

Hair color opinions?

I Like The FIrst One Better. And If Your Pale I Would Go With A Ligh Color So Your Skin Wouldn't Look Any More Pale.

Hair color opinions?

I would most defiantly go with Alexis Bledel's hair color. My sister is the same way, very pale and bright eyes. She has dyed her hair reddish, darker color, and it looks very nice. I would get it professionally done the first time because you don't want it turning out to have a blue tint. Good luck! Also keep in mind that you want to stick to a natural looking color, not a fake one.

Hair color opinions?

i would definitely go with like a brown. it will look really good

Hair color opinions?

well im glad to see your going down the right path cuz i would also choose a dark brown look cuz with pale skin and blue eyes it will look GREAT! brown hair makes blue eyes pop (stand out) and that looks sooo pretty well i hope this helps

Hair color opinions?

brunnettes rule!!! yes true... i am brown haired... and i have been thinking of dying it red... like a brown-red... i think that would look good on you too if oyu like the brown

Hair color opinions?

go a medium brown to a light brown, too dark of brown will make you look super pale.. and mabey put some carmel or medium blond highlights in them too.. it would look very cute

: D

Hair color opinions?

I think i would go a natural looking blonde with warm honey highlights. With your skin tone this would look great. It would also bring out your eyes.

Hair color opinions?

Go light liht brown.

Hair color opinions?

Your natural skin tone and your natural hair color, already match. For this reason, I wouldn't stray too far from your natural color, maybe just warm it up, or highlight it, or add some richness to the color.

On the other hand, sometimes a little more contrast than God gave you is okay. Pale skin and really dark hair can be very striking, just keep makeup natural during this phase of your look so you don't look like a member of the Addams Family. Pale skin and red or strawberry tones will give you that fiery Irish look, complement with warm makeup tones and clothing for that warm autumn look, you will look like a natural beauty. The only color I would avoid with pale skin is blonde, which is hard to warm back up, you look washed out.

My suggestion is that you should use semi-permanent color, which doesn't penetrate the whole hair shaft. It just kind of sits on top of the hair and washes out after a few weeks. This will help you avoid that stark root line. By the time you need a touchup, the color will be gone and you can either pick a new one or do the same color over, or leave it natural.

I quit coloring my hair because of the root lines. They actually make my gray stand out more, and they make me look older than going gray alone, it is very obvious that I color my hair. I suppose this has me thinking about doing it again, choosing less permanent color.
