What hair color is right for me?

I recently chemically straightened my hair, and it is too fragile for me to continue bleaching it. Unfortunately, my roots are horrid, so I need to come up with a new plan of action. My natural hair color is dark blonde/light brown, so I was thinking of dying it that color. I have pale skin, so pretty much any hair color looks good on me. I am also considering a red shade. The only shades I want to stay away from are black and other extremes (i.e. pink, blue, green, etc.).

I think that I have a "cool" skin tone, but I'm not completely positive. My eyes are dark brown, but I'm torn over my skin's undertones. I think I have pink undertones, but in some places I see blue and in others yellow. My arms definitly have a yellow undertone, but we're focusing on my face, so that doesn't help.

I'd go for an angluar hair cut that frames your face. They say shorter hair makes you look younger. A brunette or dark rich colour which would also help frame your face. The blonde you have now doesn't contrast well with your face. The best way to find out without damaging your hair is to use the iVillage makeover site. you're very lucky to have light skin because technically you can pull of any color...some will look better than others but you should be fine with most colors..

try a nice CHOCOLATE BROWN or a NATURAL LOOKING RED.

I would go for the color as close to your natural color as possible. Maybe a little darker. You can never go wrong with what God gave ya. As for your undertones, can't help you there. Since you say your skin is pale, I would not go with any dark colors. Good luck.

I think a light brown would be fitting for you...if your hair is already a bit damaged, I would suggest staying as close to your natural color as possible. You could get an auburn color...which I think would look really nice on you and compliment your face. Next, you want to go to a beauty supply store and stock up on hair products which are designed to help with chemically treated hair. There are a lotof good products out there, I like Hemp, Redken, and Biolage. Be prepared to spend a little bit on the products, though, because it will be worth it.

Raw Color Semi-Permanent Hair color.?

I have got BRIGHT blonde hair, in natural light, my hair looks white. I keep it bleached this way. But I've wanted to go extremely dark for the longest time, but the idea scares me, bad. So, I bought some Raw Color Jet Black Semi-Permi hair color, From Hot Topic. But I'm still leery, Can anyone give me an idea of how long it will stay in my hair and if there might be a chance of it like...staining my hair maybe? Because I don't want to be stuck with black hair. Thanks.

Please be careful using this product. This weekend I used it on my daughter. The room was well ventilated and she passed out and had tremors from the fumes. We ended up in the emergency room. We have used other products and never had a problem before. I have contacted the company that makes this and they have not gotten back to us. There are no warnings on the bottle at all. Please don't do this alone. She ended up hitting her head on the floor also when she fell. I don't want to scare people but I want to warn them before something happens. We were luck I know what to do in these cases.

OK well for the past few summers i put lemon juice in it so halfway down my hair is a weird dark blond color. The other half is my natural hair color (dark brown). The very top my mom was gay and let me dye my hair, i thought she was going to dye my whole head but she just did the top, a purpleish tint. use semi-permanent, if you use them a few times the colour just becomes permanent even though they're meanna wash out.

do it on the quiet x like with a few mates or something x there's not much else you can do x i know how you feel i had reddish roots with my black hair and it didn't look too great, so i dyed it back to a similar natural colour.

Go to Walmart or a large drugstore and look for "Fanciful Rinse. It will cover whatever mess you have, BUT you have to reapply it after each shampoo. You comb it through after you wash your hair. It is available in a wide range of colors and it isn't too expensive, so just get the dark brown one. Maybe it will be called chocolate or "mink" or some sort of cute name...it absolutely, positively will NOT hurt your hair. I recommended it here to someone else %26amp; she was thrilled with the results. I have used it myself when I got my hair really brassy years ago. So, just keep using that until your mom calms down %26amp; lets you put in a more permanent rinse.

I had natural medium brown hair with golden highlights from the sun. my hair was 100% dye-free before I bought a box of Clairol "SEMI-PERMANENT" dye in midnight black. Semi-permanent is complete false adversitement! This junk will not wash off! I seriously just want the black tint to fade... I don't mind dark hair but I don't want this hideous black tint! I look like Elvira! I'm going to attempt washing my hair with Prell since a hair specialist suggested that. If that doesn't work can someone please let me know what a salon will do to remove this junk? I plan on booking an appointment for tomorrow at a high end salon for a color consultation and correction. What are the options at the salon? I don't want my hair fried with bleach, and I don't want to have to deal with hair dye and roots. Please tell me there's something that will lift this dye out. Any advice from those who have been in this situation or actual hair specialists would be appreciated.

well, if its semipermanent it'll take about 28ish shampoos to come out. you can try using a clarifying shampoo, that might help. also, you can buy a hot oil treatmeant, such as the VO5 one that's in a little tube (i think it's about 2ish dollars), that should help get the color out as well. the salon would probably just strip your hair of the color, it'll get your hair back to its natural color, but it is a somewhat drying process for your hair, other than that...good luck!

what u want, or anyone if they even use permanent hair color is one n' only color fix. three bottles come in a yellow box, with easy directions. you can buy it at sallys beauty supplies or online. or you can go to walgreens and buy this stuff called oops hair color remover. its cheap and it works. Why would u dye ur hair MIDNIGHT BLACK if u didnt want super black hair? Anyway, the semi permanent means its wash off after, like, 28 shampoos. U should hav at first tried the stuff that washes out in only 12 shampoos. But yeah u could just try washing ur hair over and over but it might not work...

Hi...I have fair skin and my current hair color is a mix between light blonde, golden blonde, and a light brown. I never had highlighted or full color done until after I had my daughter and decided to try something different. Now the color seems like a variety of shades and I'm thinking it's time to go all one color again! I wear light pinks when it comes to make-up. Light pink eyeshadow on top/pale purple on eyelid, black eyeliner and mascara, bronzer on cheeks/chin, and lipstick...I'm really not sure right now! Used to be a glossy light pink (not dramatic, just kinda natural/pale). I'm really not sure what color would look best. Anyway, I'm wondering if I should go brunette (my natural color) or go blonde? I like my make-up (but would be willing to hear diff. ideas) so whatever goes with those colors. I have a round face, hazel eyes, and shoulder length hair. Any suggestions? Hmm, I just went from blonde to brown to dark blonde again too. Dark hair is really dramatic and really pretty if you have blue or green eyes. It sounds like the blonde would be cute for you, or a light brown with golden highlights. But if you're going to go one color do a dark brunette. It's stunning. I'd ditch the black eyeliner and get brown though, becuase might be kind of stark with such delicate coloring, esp. if you go blonde. Your makeup would be best suited to a blonde. A brunette would wear maybe violets on the eyes and a darker lip color.

well if u were happy as a blonde then try blonde but if u want to go for a strawberry blonde so that u have a little red in there... i went to being a medium brown to a redhead and i think it looks good... i dont really wear eyeshadow but i wear eyeliner and mascara and i put a little bit of blush on and im fair skinned at the moment because its winter and i think that the way i wear it is good and i get compliments from people about it al the time... hope i helped!!!

ok, some strange things Ive been thinking about:

1. i was born blonde, and Im looking at school pictures-all throughout elementary ive been blonde, some years like 1st and 2nd grade I was very blonde, and each year after my hair color became darker. In middle school is was no longer blonde, and now 16 years old my hair is brown. (ive never dyed, streaked or bleached my hair) So, whats my real hair color? am I some type of hybrid with no specific hair color, and will i turn blonde again? What do I refer myself to? Also, im getting a new passport soon, my last one I was blonde, and Im sure under the physical characteristics it said blonde hair/ blue eyes, etc. Will it say brown in my new one?

most peoples colouring changes as they grow up (i was born platnium blonde and now i have dark brown hair naturally) and as for moles and freckles you will find these fading and appearing depending on your age and sun exposure. don't worry about it and if you being brunette gets you down you can always invest in a trip to the stylist to get it lightened (and yes it will probably say brown on your passport)

Malls are pretty overpriced. Call the different hair salons around your neighborhood to see who has the best deal. Ask some people you know who have their hair highlighted professionally, to see who does the best job, too.
